This guide can be your best friend as you navigate the world of SLOANE MARLEY products, particularly because some of our products are sold in our All Year Collection and can be purchased any time throughout the calendar year, and other products belong to our Custom Care Collection and are available only once a year in dated fresh batches that stay fresh for more than 12 months and will last you until the next Custom Care batch is released.
In addition, we often release Limited Editions, where we find a special ingredient we can source for a short amount of time, we wildcraft or grow a specific amount of something that we can build a beautiful product from in a small batch, or we design a phenomenal layered custom designed candle with a proprietary natural fragrance, and we offer it in gentle eco-friendly skin safe vegan coconut wax and amber glass, with a room and linen spray to match. With our Limited Editions, it depends on how much of an ingredient we have to share, but typically we only make 20-30 pieces of each item, and when it is gone - it is gone for good. We offer first dibs to our mailing list.
By experimenting with use, frequency and your skin type, you will land on the right use and there is no "right" way to use our products, and everyone finds their rhythm. For most people, initial results when switching to our products from commerical products can happen after about 2 weeks, and more profound results in about 1-2 months, with more of a skin transformation at around 4-6 months. You may also choose to replace just one of your standard products and slowly adapt your routine. A more complete adoption of our line adds a natural living biome to your skin, creating a defense barrier against environmental pollutants and acne-causing bacteria and micro parasites that build up on skin and feed on hormone and stress driven oils that can build up on your skin over time. Our body care products create protection for breaks in the skin caused by normal scrapes, rashes, cracks in dry skin that cause ruptures or bleeding, or even skin conditions like eczema, roseacea, and acne, which "open" the skin's natural defense system and create access for infection.

We offer these items in our All Year Collection, which means we make them during all four seasons and sell them all year. We take a very short hiatus between Christmas Eve and January 10th to restock and restore, take inventory, and plan for the following year, but otherwise you can count on these products. They are made fresh every 6-8 weeks and are made shelf-stable for 12+ months with natural ingredients and no preservatives.

SUGGESTIONS FOR SLOANE MARLEY PRODUCT USE BY SKIN TYPE:
Oily Skin - We recommend using REN, TONA, and VÄN. Use VÄN to matify skin and for oil-free moisture with or without makeup. Wash well with REN, tonify with TONA and use VÄN.
Combination and Acne-Prone Skin - Use REN, TONA, and VÄN. You'll probably need extra KLAR as it's about to become your new best friend. KLAR is ideal in place of or under makeup and leave it on - no need to rinse. Use in heavy doses as acne starts to bloom and you'll reduce your timeline by at least half.
Eczema and Roseacea-Prone Skin - Our customers have had excellent results using a combination of ÄLDRE, KLAR, and LINDRA on their dry patches. We have heard of resolution of dryness in as little as 1-3 days.
Mature Skin - Use REN Daily Wash or if really dry, try our KANSLIG Sensitive Skin Wash. Follow with TONA, and try ÄLDRE and VÄN for moisture. If your skin is medium or oily or hormonal acne-prone, use VÄN for moisture and KLAR to clarify daily or as needed for hormonal breakouts. A combination of ÄLDRE+ FUKTA is good for a combination/drier skin, and FUKTA is also really useful around eyes. To relieve fine lines and wrinkles + inflammation and just because it feels so nice going on, use our LINDRA Luxury Face Balm / Solid Serum to seal in good moisture and skin nutrition.
Sensitive Skin - For EXTREMELY sensitive skin, use a little of the LILLA DU Gentle Wash Concentrate, which has no essential oils. Or definitely try our KANSLIG Sensitive Skin Wash which has many of the same blue/anti-inflammatory essential oils that are in FUKTA. If you prefer oil washes, particularly with severe eczema, rosacea or other inflammatory conditions, use FUKTA as an oil wash. Follow with your choice of VÄN or a 50/50 of VÄN and ÄLDRE for gentle anti-inflammatory moisture. Use KLAR to calm and condition 1x every 1-2 weeks. For VERY SENSITIVE use ÄLDRE exclusively and LAGA on very dry patches.
INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS and USE:
FACE
REN : Daily face wash for most skin types made with roses and honey. For dry or mature skin, use KANSLIG for sensitive skin.
Use: We recommend using 2x per day, morning and night. This rose and honey based wash will effectively clear all debris and even the toughest makeup and leave a clean canvas. It's even more effective when you follow with TONA on a cotton ball to remove the last traces of make up or environmental pollution and we recommend following with a moisturizer. For mature skin, FUKTA is the perfect follow up, for medium skin, we recommend 50/50 blend of FUKTA and VÄN and for oily or combination skin, we recommend VÄN only to follow your wash and toning process. If you are experiencing a breakout, try following with KLAR or for general oil-free barrier for your skin try a 50/50 combination of KLAR and VÄN.
Alternative Uses: In a pinch, REN makes a great beard wash or body wash when on the road.
KANSLIG: For dry and very sensitive skin, KÄNSLIG is just right. Though it is still effective at clearing makeup or environmental toxins from the skin, and creates a satisfying foam, it’s also super gentle, for skin that is very sensitive, taxed, dry, aging, or very young.
Use: Use as a daily face wash for dry or very sensitive skin, or combine 50/50 with REN Daily Wash for an occasional moisture boost with combination skin. Also great men’s facial hair as a beard shampoo. Ideal one bottle solution to be shared by partners or a family in a bathroom or for travel. Use with FUKTA or ÄLDRE for heavy moisture or with TONA and VÄN for mild moisture. Naturally vegan, cruelty-free, highly effective, active, botanical, and wildcrafted.
TONA : Multi-purpose conditioning toner for all skin types. TONA's big genius is when it's used on cotton balls or a cotton pad to remove stubborn makeup or environmental toxins. It also helps to remove mineral sunscreens and wind burn emollients to prevent breakouts.
Use: We recommend using at least 1x per day, or morning and night. This toner with hops, kombucha and apple cider vinegar takes all traces of what shouldn't be on your skin and replaces it with gentle oil-free moisture. It's even more effective when you begin with REN to wash your face and we recommend following with a moisturizer. For mature skin, FUKTA is the perfect follow up, for medium skin, we recommend 50/50 blend of FUKTA and VÄN and for oily or combination skin, we recommend VÄN only to follow your wash and toning process. If you are experiencing a breakout, try following with KLAR or for general oil-free barrier for your skin try a 50/50 combination of KLAR and VÄN.
Alternative Uses: In a pinch, TONA is perfect to cool down after a workout or to spray in underarms on a hot day. Also useful for a face spritz after a long flight or car trip. Can be spritzed on top of make up or on bare skin.
FUKTA : Balancing blue face oil. Aromatherapeutic and anti-inflammatory. Treat your face daily or less frequently depending on your skin type.
Use: Perfect for daily use for dry or mature skin types and 1x per 2 weeks or so for more combination skin types. Not good for daily use on oily skin. Use a few drops to a full dropper depending on your skin type. We recommend beginning with REN wash, and TONA to condition the skin and following up with FUKTA for moisture. For mature skin, a dropper full of FUKTA is the perfect follow up by itself, for medium skin, we recommend 50/50 blend of FUKTA and VÄN.
Alternative Uses: Condition dry cuticles after a home mani or pedi, use around eyes (all skin types) or add a few drops to a moisturizer for a deep conditioning treatment. Rub a few drops together in hands and give babies and kids a gentle back, foot or hand massage to help them sleep.
ÄLDRE : Like a wise elder, this conditioning oil absorbs quickly and makes a lasting impact. ÄLDRE was made to deeply condition your skin without residue or overly heavy moisture.
Perfect for dry skin, dry conditions, and ideal for aging skin. This deep moisturizer is alive - using plant wisdom and vital essentials to plump and finish dry skin, offering soothing relief mixed with our proprietary Vinoflora (pressed grape seeds and skins + botanicals and fruit acids).
Some of the world's most luxurious oils condition skin while sacred essentials of rose, sandalwood, and marigold offer delicate facial skin essential nutrients, even skin tone/scars, and visibly reduce signs of aging.
Use: a small amount at least once daily on dry skin/ aging skin, or as a weekly deep conditioning treatment on combination skin or occasionally on oily skin. For best results for dry and aging skin, use in combination with REN Daily Wash or KÄNSLIG Sensitive Skin Face Wash and with VÄN Wildcrafted Botanical Serum.
Alternative Uses: Use a small amount as a luxurious hair smoothing oil, as a scalp conditioner, or after shaving bikini areas, legs, or face.
LINDRA : Our luxury face balm/solid serum is a 12/10! Made with the power of calendula, chamomile, butterfly pea, lavender and the essentials of frankincense and clary sage, this powerhouse is good for nearly all skin types. Use more than once daily on dry skin or at night for a youthful morning glow and smooth application of makeup. Gentle around the eyes and works like a charm on dry patches on the face and body.
Perfect as a partner to ÄLDRE for dry or aging skin, in dry climates, or for an extra boost of nourishment and care on nearly all skin. This semi-solid travels well and will clearly reduce fine lines and inflammation on the face, and it soaks into skin quickly and completely.
Use: Use to spot treat very dry skin, or as an overall deep deep moisturizing treatment for the face and tender areas of the body. Good for many skin types from normal to very dry. Use ALDRË Deep Conditioning Oil and and follow with LINDRA for a skin-quenching overnight treatment, or for dry or cold weather. Soaks in completely, and wears well under makeup.
Alternative Uses: Use on the bottoms of feet and cover with socks for very sore cracks. Wear to bed for deeply moisturized feet. Use on cuticles, hands, and eczema patches for soothing deep moisture.
KLAR : A clarifying liquid clay that dries to a transparent powder finish. Great in place of foundation for clear skin and ideal to help reduce time on breakouts. Aromatherapeutic night time ritual for improved sleep.
Use: Excellent for all skin types. We recommend putting all over face overnight for healthier balanced skin and better sleep, or wearing in place of or under makeup during the day. For acne and hormonal breakouts, put a few layers of KLAR on the spots as often as you'd like during the day and as soon as you notice inflammation beginning. Typically reduces inflammation of the spot without drying out the surrounding area. Mix 50/50 with VÄN for an oil-free moisturizer for acne-prone skin.
Alternative Uses: Effective for supporting clearing acne, and also great for first aid - to put on bites, stings, and rashes. Some of our clients have used it to help treat conditions as severe as eczema and shingles. Mix a few drops with LAGA and apply to athlete's foot or bleeding fissures on the feet.
VÄN : A wildcrafted botanical serum in made with fresh Viognier and citrus peel extracts. Made to soften and condition all skin types and reduce fine lines and wrinkles with an oil-free formula. Completely proprietary and unique - the closest thing to this on the market is oil-based (not good for many skin types) and costs more than 4x as much.
Use: Works for any skin type of any age. Particularly effective for mature skin to soften wrinkles and fine lines. Can be layered with other moisturizers or works well alone in hot or humid weather or for oily and combination skin types. Mix 50/50 with KLAR for an oil-free moisturizer for acne-prone skin.
Alternative Uses: As a midday refresher, add half a dropper to hands, rub together and smooth over face.
BODY
SJÖ : This moisturizing scrub is made with sugar and Himalayan sea salt + blue and green algae and avocado butter, this product starts with the top shelf for comfort and restoration. Then a little bit of a soaping agent made from a coconut base, as well as very gentle oils, essential oils, and cocoa butter, and the result is a "coat" of moisture after you scrub. great for shaving legs.
Use: Works for any skin type of any age from 2 years+. Use daily in the shower, or at the sink on hands. Great for gardeners hands, artists and anyone who works in service.
Alternative Uses: Scrub legs after shaving and rinse off well, leaving a layer of moisture to take the place of body butter or lotion.
RÖR : This is the most delicious body oil you have ever tried. It's an intimate oil made to be safe for the tenderest of areas without chemicals or additives. great on wet skin out of the shower as a body oil or for gentle use in intimate encounters. made with the softest almond oil and gentle wood and rose and vanilla essentials, this yummy oil is also useful on the bottoms of feet for grounding and rooting meditations.
Use: As an all-over body oil just out of the shower, as an intimate lubricant, or as a root chakra pick me up.
Alternative Uses: Put a few drops in palms and rub hands together to warm and bring up essential oils. Inhale from palms deeply and place hands face up on knees, and proceed with a warming meditative practice.
FIN : Our whipped natural body butter is made with some of the deepest moisturizers but will melt in your skin like....well.. butter. FIN means "delicious" and you're likely to get super hooked on this right-out-of-the-shower solution for dry skin.
Use: Works for any skin type but may be too emollient for very oily skin, as it is not water-based like commercial "body butters". Use just out of the shower for additional moisture and to "seal in" effects.
Alternative Uses: Use on the bottoms of feet and cover with socks. Wear to bed for deeply moisturized feet. Add LAGA on top for feet that are very cracked, dry, or with painful fissures.
LAGA : All purpose salve and balm. Formulated to be better than any other salve or balm you've used for your hands and feet. Perfect for anyone who works on a computer because it soaks in quickly. The moisturizing effects last after handwashing thanks to cocoa butter, shea butter and beeswax, and the essential oils help protect you during cold and flu season.
Use: Great for hands during cold and dry weather and for dry feet and heels any time of year. Makes a perfect lip balm. Useful for winter sports fans on the face and hands for extra protection and to prevent windburn. Excellent for anyone who works outdoors or works in food, education, or healthcare to save the hands from wear and tear and frequent hand-washing. A life saver for new parents and anyone caring for small children. Safe to use on all ages, 6+ months and up.
Alternative Uses: Carry one container for lip balm, hands, feet, as a natural lubricant, and to prevent wind burn, chafe, and diaper rash. Comforting for stretched tight pregnant bellies and skin recovering from major weight loss. Good for athletes like marathoners and cyclists to prevent or soothe chafe. Protectant for minor wounds, scrapes, and post-surgical incisions after patients have been cleared to wash the area.
FAMILY AND BABY
LILLA DU : Gentle wash concentrate for brand new babies and post-partum mamas. Made by request to fulfill a few needs for our customers - deeply moisturizing, essential oil free for the most sensitive skin, and completely vegan. Made with 100% pure maple syrup for anti-bacterial effects and moisturizing effects without drying.
Use: Use starting in pregnancy to wash your face gently or as a first wash for baby when he/she comes home. Calendula and chamomile infused grapeseed oil and gentlest olive oil castile mixed with soft maple syrup make this a formula that will gently build up a positive protective layer on new baby skin. Add to a peri bottle for super gentle post-partum treatment of tender tissues or add to cloth wipes for skin conditioning and better clean up.
Alternative Uses: Also great for very sensitive faces and for aging skin.
ÄLSKA : Super soft, super potent protection with no added essential oils for cracked and tender skin, super dry hands and body. Also works for new mamas for bellies, nursing and cradle cap and is baby-safe. Made from a base of calendula and chamomile infused oil and backed with shea butter, cocoa butter, and beeswax for long-lasting protection and soothing. Zero essential oils, 100% plant-based oils and pure beeswax to be safe for the tiniest of humans. Petrolatum free, synthetic ingredient free, and animal product free.
Use: For dry overworked hands or for hands sensitive to drying soaps and lotions in public places or cracked red or dry hands, feet, or lips, use liberally as needed.
For mothers and infants - starting from day one, use after and between feedings, frequently and liberally for best use. When you can make time to let it soak in before baby feeds, you will receive more support from the chafe that comes with saliva. Useful to treat your dry cuticles and hands as well as baby's cradle cap and dry hands and feet while you nurse.
Alternative Uses: Great for cracked and dry heels and as a lip balm or for dry skin in small children or people of all ages with sensitive skin.
For mothers -creates a protective boundary for partum or post-partum hemorrhoids and as a barrier over torn perineal tissue. Helps relieve tightly stretched pregnant belly skin and post-partum mama bellies.
